Thank goodness that Johnny Depp is done with the pirate thing for the time being. Now we can oggle him in the much anticipated movie (well I've been waiting on it forever) "The Rum Diary".

Based on the late, great Hunter S. Thompson's book of the same name, the movie follows the tale of Paul Kemp, a journalist who is goes to Puerto Rico to be a writer for a local paper down there. A wild ride ensues with the inclusion of drugs, booze, fast cars, and quirky characters.




If you've ever seen Depp's performance as Raoul Duke in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", you already have an idea of what this is going to be but a bit more tame.

To clue you in on some background if you aren't familiar with Hunter S. Thompson, he liked to give himself aliases and write stories under them, Raoul Duke being the most famous of them. Now I'm not saying "The Rum Diary" is an autobiographical work, but it is essentally Thompson when he was younger.

All in all I can't wait for this movie! It truly is going to be epic!

The most awaited movie footage in Hollywood since 'Twilight' and 'Harry Potter' is going to debut itself, like it's predecessors, at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The award show is this coming Sunday at 8/7c and I personally can NOT wait to see it!! =)

So the movie isn't due until February 3rd, but I already can't wait for Daniel Radcliffe's post-Harry Potter film, "The Woman In Black".

Based on the book of the same name, Daniel is a lawyer who travels to a remote English village and discovers that the ghost of a scorned woman is terrorizing the locals.

It's a departure from the Harry Potter films, but if you are like me and have seen him in his other works, such as December Boys or My Boy Jack, you'll know that he can handle this kind of delicate period drama.




Again...can't wait!!!! =)
