Grant (Link also has a story in the book), is a collection of 14 wonderful stories (I can only guess that they are judging by the excerpts) by 14 different authors, that conquer all the realms of the lovely world of Steampunk.

Ever want to learn more about Steampunk, or more directly about different Steampunk artists? Have you look no further "The Art of Steampunk" by Art Donovan. This book showcases some of the most talented and gifted artists in the Steampunk world.

For those who do not know of Steampunk, it is basically a sub-genre of science-fiction set in the Victorian age. So, lets say you see someone in Victorian clothing and they have some weird contraption or goggles or look not like in the traditional Victorian fashion but they don't completely deteir from it. That is Steampunk.

"Steampunk" has a delightful Steampunk 101 section before the gorgeous gallery of artwork that explains is way better than I just did.

Now the artwork is something to behold.

Ranging from simple light fixtures to even computers, the art showcased is some of the most beautiful work
I've seen.

My favorite piece has to be "The Nagy-Magical-Movable-Type-Pixelo-Dynamontronic-Computational Engine". Long name but I want it and it's litterally to die for!!

This wonderful back story to Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley's duet project, of the same name, is a gorgeous, dark, adult storybook that would please the darkest of the macabre.

A pair of unfortunate conjoined twins, Evelyn and Evelyn Neville (aka Eva and Lynn), are born into a world where all they want is to be loved and accepted, but sadly face death, abuse, and harassment. The story follows their life up unto present day where they are the infamous song duo (Palmer and Webley are the stage incarnation of the twins).

It's a wonderful dark world the sisters live in and the illustrations done by Cynthia von Buhler are simply gorgeous to glance upon even without reading the lovely story they tell.

This is a wonderful book for any fan of Amanda Palmer, tragedy, macabre, or wanting a great simple story.

A reference to a now infamous line uttered by the Eleventh Doctor in the fabulous science fiction show, Doctor Who, "Still Got Legs" is the lastest installment by the Time Lord Rock, Trock, band, Chameleon Circuit is a brilliant showcase of the songwriting combined with love for this genre of music.

For those not familiar with this particular genre, it's one that is basically a fan based band. A group of guys in London, who were already really talented to begin with, wrote songs individually about the wonderful show and then ultimately decided to make a genre of it. Their debut album, Chameleon Circuit, was critically acclaimed by all who heard it. Fans of the album even wrote in to the very popular magazine, Doctor Who Magazine, to tell the world about it, and thus Chameleon Circuit came about.


I write this review as I myself emmerse myself in this wonderful album, which streams from frontman, Alex Day's website. In comparison to their previous self-titled album, "Legs" has more of a lyrical, softer approach. With the album telling more of a story over all, it's hypnotic tracks are certain to woo anyone, fan or not of the show.

Songs of note: "Everything Is Ending", "Mr. Pond", "The Sound of Drums", and "Big Bang Two".

"Wither" is this beautiful, futuristic, utopianish, novel in which the wonderful heroine, Rhine, is litterally kidnapped and thrust into a world she'd never imagine she'd be in.

If you haven't read it yet, it's one I highly suggest.

So the big news in the Chemical Gardens world is the cover reveal of the next wonderful installment, "Fever"!!!

Lauren is making the reveal in four parts and the first part was revealed just yesterday!!!

For those who do not know, I am Lydia, or, to some of you, Misamille. Either way hai!
This dear little blog of mine is yet another incarnation of myself that I think I can maintain. I have had several blogs and such things in the past, but they have failed due to some reason or such like thing, but not this time! I have set a goal for myself that I will see this through!

My goal: I want to be able to post something on here at least once or more a week. I'm very busy majority of the time so I don't have time to get to my computer and do stuff. So that's where the contact me list comes into play! If you see that I haven't been on here more than a week and I haven't said anything about my prolonged absence: ALERT THE TROOPS! loll!

I love the world of blogging and sharing ideas, thoughts, things, etc. So that's what I want to do with this.

I'm going to ramble on about things that don't make sense, maybe get you guys to interact some, and WARNING! I fangirl about things a LOT! But I will try not to bother you with that kind of stuff ALL the time...maybe the majority, but not all the time.

There I've cleared the air about what you and I are about to embark on finally together!
